This is due to moving to a new server and that forcing the use of different software for running SharedWriting. The major differences are: story submissions are automatically posted to their category/board, no voting required; users have to go to the board/category to find the "New Story" submission link; user diaries are now 'blogs'; front page stories are selected by the admins rather than voting; and existing user passwords had to be reset. The Black Wolf
Romance By Kardas Posted: 2006-07-23 04:23 This is a short story I wrote in '04, though my writing at that time was still weak and structureless. Recently I performed many minor revisions, but there is only so much I can do without rewriting entirely. I would like to write a sequil sometime, but I have no ideas so feel free to share yours! "The black Wolf" is a tale about a man and a wolf who meet in the woods and fall in love. If that's too weird, then don't read it. With all of that said, I hope someone will enjoy this.Dracchus was lying outside his tent, staring at the stars but began to doze off. His eyelids became heavy and sleep took over him. Minutes later, a cold nose on his neck woke him up. Dracchus opened his eyes to see a wolf, the moonlight making her black fur seem to glow. He jumped; she hopped back and growled for a few seconds but then stopped, coming closer to him again. He backed up until he was against a tree but she kept advancing, seeming curious rather than hostile. |

His single command could be heard amongst the numerous others that were screamed by other anonymous Generals throughout the chaotic warfare. Some broken and quivering, others strong and solid.The shuffling and scuttling of hundreds upon hundreds of archers gathering in lines against the wall gave confidence to the sea of pessimistic soldiers who crouched against the last hope of protection; Hadrian's Wall. The fate of the battle lay in anybody's hands, Roman or not. Morale was unbalanced and the Roman armies that defended the warm wall were tiring and were blinded from victorious hopes. It was insane and shocking. The Generals who took the field of battle this day could not believe it. The Battle for Hadrian's Wall may be the first devastating defeat of the Roman army. |

Stan was a great worrier. He was also very wise. One day Stan went for a ride on his starship, he was headed to the planet Tatooini, which is the planet he was born on, but he discovered a school bus was tracking him. Stan went into an asteroid field to lose it but it didn't work. Then Stan got a great idea, Stan turned around and headed towards a small moon at maximum warp...well he did lose the bus... But Stan kinda died when he hit the moon at light speed causing the ship to explode. After Stan died he went to that place where the heat is on full blast twenty-four, seven. Stan went up to a bunch of people and asked the where he was at. The people told him, and Stan went into a state of shock asking him-self "how could this have happened" over and over. Read More... |
